SURVIVAL 101~
this is my first attempt so please bear with me and any co.ments are gretly appreciated
1) u must have a way to generate ur own electricity : solar panels, wind even a generator
2) have a way to store enough water or be able to generate ur drinking water
3) U MUST be MENTALLY and PHYSICALLY prepared to live at sea, wilderness, homeless basically.
can you live without: tv? air conditioning? a bath everyday, ect
4) u will need to purchase truck, boat, supplies, basics...
5) do you know anything about plumbing, electric, basic wood wrking? can you shoot? can you shoot to kill if you had to? could you live with yourself if you had to kill to protect your family?
6) do you have basic skills, can you grow veg, can you can? can you climb are you in good physical condition? are you willing to get your ass in shape?
No one is going to be out there to take you to the dr, I have medical training, what if you cut your arm or leg, do you know what to do?
These are just a few of the things I will be exploring and if you are tired of going to the same place every day, doing the same thing every day, and getting nothing back from it....who knows? Maybe we could learn from each other.
My fiancé purchased this home over 17 years ago. It was 55,000.00 when he purchased it with a $450/month mortgage. He had one, that's not a misprint, he had one credit card and that company scared him so bad that he went and got an ARM loan.....then, well we all know what happened, He was then laid off and we were able to apply for assistance and were supposed to qualify for a modification.
We somehow, missed a payment, and now they are advising we defaulted, so its just gotten to the point that a 50,000.00 home that Is actually worth about 40,000.00 is now supposedly worth over 90,000.00 and we are pretty much done fighting. We have our receipts, but with interest and all of this...we are getting tired. So, we can fight and pay them and live here to probably continue to maybe have issues in the future again...of, since our children are 23 and 26, grown men. we are both 46, why not let them have it since they want it so badly? Im basically tired of fighting. We want to see the world or some of it anyway while we are young enough to enjoy it. the banks were bailed out, but yet they only acted like they assisted people until things died down....so that is where we are at... prolly going to let them have this 40,000.00 house and let them sell it for 20,000.00 and go off the grid.
I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea, we pay our bills but sometimes you cannot win a losing battle
this is my first attempt so it may be a little jumpy but I want to discuss survival and homesteading and living off the land for as little as possible either in an RV, or maybe going to an area and building
